Chantal Fleming is the Executive Director of TRIO Programs at North Carolina A&T State University. Chantal is approaching her 20th year of working in higher education with underrepresented and first-generation college students. This experience includes 5 years at 2-year institutions and 15 years on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University. Ms. Flemings' role is to support the Upward Bound, Talent Search, and the newly awarded Ronald E. McNair teams, in addition to directing the TRIO Student Support Services program. Ms. Flemings's 20 years of experience in access and equity for first-generation/ Low-Income students provides her with working knowledge of Best Practices at both 2-Year and 4-Year Institutions. Ms. Fleming enjoys collaborating with TRIO colleagues across states, regions, and the nation, especially during this unprecedented time, to integrate services that support her students in reaching their academic goals. Ms. Fleming continues to value and cultivate relationships with campus partners to increase access, equity, and inclusion as well as retention, persistence, and graduation rates for First-Generation College students. Ms. Fleming received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from North Carolina A&T State University, her Master's degree in Counseling from Webster University, and her Ed.S. in Higher ED Leadership from Appalachian State University.
